Digilink runs the buying, the importing and the operating discipline behind several New Zealand retail businesses. That work is specialised, and it does not get done by goodwill. It gets done by people who know freight, know suppliers, and know what a wrong order costs.
The work here
Five functions carry the business. They are where our roles come from.
Import, customs & freight
Booking freight, preparing customs and compliance documents, clearing goods into New Zealand, and keeping arrival dates honest against what the stores were promised.
Stock planning & replenishment
Forecasting what each store will sell, holding enough and not more, moving stock between sites, and writing off nothing that could have been sold.
Commercial analysis
Landed cost, margin by line, supplier rebates, and the monthly reading that tells the operating companies where they actually stand.
Systems & data
The product catalogue, the stock view, the ordering flow. Keeping one set of records that every brand can trust.
What we look for
Trade knowledge, not titles
Someone who has cleared a difficult shipment, or held a supplier to a price, is worth more here than a long job description.
Care with detail
Most of the money in this business is lost in small places: a wrong code, a missed rebate, a container checked in a hurry.
Willing to stay
Supplier relationships and store habits take years to build. We hire with those years in mind.
