About Digilink

Twenty-two years in New Zealand trade, most of them spent out of view.

We hold the brands and the shared commercial work. The operating companies hold the customer.

Digilink Limited was registered in New Zealand in 2004. It began as one technology business. It grew, as these things do, by learning what the next business needed before that business existed.

We hold the brands, negotiate supply, keep the books of the network honest and run the systems everyone works on. The trading belongs to the operating companies — their customers, their range, their counter.

Centralising these things is not a matter of tidiness. It buys better terms from suppliers, keeps brand standards from drifting, makes one store's numbers comparable to another's, and gives a new site a path already walked.

The work divides into a handful of functions: buying and supplier management; import, customs and freight; stock planning and store replenishment; commercial analysis; and the systems and data that hold the rest together. Each is a trade of its own, and each is carried by people who do it every day.

Principles

How we hold ourselves

Stay on our side of the line

We manage; they trade. We do not compete with the companies we support, and we never take their customer.

Say it as it is registered

Every management relationship rests on a real agreement. Ownership is described exactly as the register records it — no more.

Make it routine

Every recurring task has a written process and a named handover. People change; the standard should not.

Name the stage

Running, being built, or still on paper — we label which. An intention dressed as a fact costs more than it gains.
